Pacific Fund Systems CSR initiative continues with donation to local children's hospice, Rebecca House

At the beginning of this year, Pacific Fund Systems pledged a commitment to give back to the communities in which we live and work via charitable donations. As the unprecedented events of 2020 began to unfold, we quickly realised our CSR commitment was very timely with the communities in which our employees lived and worked being affected by extreme bushfires, floods and the continuing COVID-19 global pandemic. These events are unparalleled and are having both a significant negative social impact and have created even more fundraising pressures for charities - and we wanted to give a little something back. We were very proud to support our colleague Ben Cotton, an Isle of Man based member of the PFS Business Analyst & Support team, when he entered the Isle of Man's largest amateur boxing 'Thriller In the Villa' competition.  Having thrown himself into months of hard work and dedicated training, Ben boxed his way to a brilliant victory in his match, and the event was a fantastic success - raising over £50,000 for charitable causes. Ben is pictured below presenting PFS' donation to Rebecca House, a local children's hospice. Rebecca House is a purpose built facility that provides respite, palliative and end of life care for children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions from birth to 18 years. The care they provide for children, and their families, is all about supporting them throughout their illness. Providing a safe haven and a home from home environment in which physical, emotional, recreational and spiritual care is offered, and where children are able to relax and have fun, Rebecca House is an invaluable resource for the families who find themselves needing to use their services. PFS is proud to have been able to support such a worthwhile charity, and as colleagues we were all proud of Ben's determination and involvement in this fantastic cause.
