Pacific Fund Systems Latest Contribution to Café Lingo

As part of our global CSR initiative, our latest charitable contribution was donated to Café Lingo, a charity whose purpose is to welcome non-native English speakers to the Isle of Man and provide them with free English lessons in a safe and friendly environment. Café Lingo is an outreach project ran entirely by volunteers, several of whom are retired teachers. This service arose from the recognition that our island is becoming increasingly diverse and some individuals who come to the island struggle in their daily lives due to difficulties with the language and understanding of how our community works. The service has been particularly welcomed in recent months by the on-island arrival of several Ukrainian refugees. At PFS, we focus on treating people fairly and we value diversity. Therefore, we are delighted to provide Café Lingo with a donation of £400 which is being used to cover the cost of a printer, to allow the service and its volunteers to continue to provide more resources such as worksheets, vocabulary packs and general information.
